I'm able to wave my hand high enough to turn on the outdoor recessed lighting. These were easy to set up and are weather proofed. Sure, it is true, and strange, the picture is unseen the mounting box that attaches behind it. I truly must say it's very good quality and the outdoor post light is completely elegant.
The delivery was prompt.
I am doing some house repairs/upgrades, and my buddy found these lights online for a great price. I was pleased to find precisely what I need at Amazon. I'm 100% pleased with these lights! I followed instructions as to setting and placement and from that evening on I've had a reliable light that goes on each time something comes inside range.
It needs to be unplugged and reset each time there is a blink in power and then it's undependable. After all day under the sun, you only get 3-4 of low light. Don't misunderstand me, it is simply as bright as any 100 watt lamp, however the fact that it is a halogen does not mean anything special when it comes to brightness. I got the second about a week later on. It didn't fit a "remodel" box or a "metal" box without needing to take a 1/4" due to the thickness of the bracket, with no way to caulk around the fixture, just the bracket. The beginning of the directions list "caulk" as a required supply for outdoor set up.
The only real dwn side to this one is that these gazebo lights are a little small.
I examined one of them - it failed - however I did not want the feature to begin with. I now have four of these gazebo lights around the house. The products to which the light assembly attaches were a different length in almost every box, and all considerably longer than they needed to be. Since dimmable compacts can be found now I plan to try one in it. Thanks Heath-Zenith, and Amazon, that will stop my Amazon purchases and Heath-Zenith! That can be essential in some applications. I'm going to try it without the pointed part on the end and merely jam them into lawn. Looks fantastic! This is a fantastic item, durable, metal and glass all what you would expect in a much more costly item. There isn't any bulb included.
You can have it mounted and throwing light within half an hour with common hand tools. I've got a couple of minor grievances about this light.

Now obviously the return time line has passed and I'm out $250 from the recessed lighting cost. Now I love this outdoor recessed lighting though I did photograph every setting for long term reference.
