Understanding Scuba Training - Learning How In A Confined Area Ver. 8264.93

By Graham Bankhead

Most people do not know that you can actually get your basic scuba training and certification out of the way very quickly. There is no specific timetable to follow and can generally occur as fast as you want it to.

To get your scuba certification out of the way, you must be ready to do your training in confined spaces. Training and learning to dive is the goal, but your classroom work must first be done and completed in a proper and expedient way. Training in the water will not begin at sea, but in a swimming pool that is a controlled environment. This is done to make it easier for the trainer to impart what they need to teach, and also maintain optimal safety levels. Learning how to add and remove scuba gear in the water is one of the first lessons that must be learned by all aspiring divers. Other things to learn include how to clean your mask in case it becomes foggy, and how to get your regulator back into your mouth so you can breathe. The trainers will also give you specific lessons on safety protocol and weight management while in the water.

Individuals who are just beginning start at open water scuba certification which is the same for everyone. Next you would want to build up as much experience as possible. Once you have enough belief in yourself as well as experience, you could then consider taking your certification, diving education and skill level further. You can receive advanced training that will help you become a more proficient and better diver. Master level training, instructor levels and rescue diving are different certifications one can get. More training can be had such as cave diving for the individuals who have bravery.

Of course people are aware of their conditions, which most do not like, but there is some kind of habit of never doing anything about it. It is a noble thing to be different from the rest because the rest, or most, of the people just sit and wait for something to change.

An example of this would be completing several dives, or just a couple, while you are on vacation. It is a natural feeling to want to go further than you did the last time when you're diving. The PADI Deep Diver course will teach you how to dive further than you can imagine.

The next phase of this training actually allows you to go from the swimming pool to the open water. After you have arrived in the open water, a new set of skills related to your training curriculum must be mastered as well. You will be tested on how well you can swim; they will ask you to go about 200 yards without your gear to test your endurance and physical capabilities. After this, you have to wear your snorkel, mask, and fans and go as far as 300 yards or meters in the next swim. Floating on top of the water is the final segment of this type of training; you can also tread water instead. The only test that is not timed, however, is the distance swim.

Diving and scuba training can turn into a lifelong passion if the diving bug bites you. People typically call those that are obsessed with a particular sport a bum: ski bums, surf bums, and now scuba bums. This sport, unlike most others, does not have to be fast paced which makes it very relaxing. It is one of the benefits of this fun-filled sport in that you can learn at your leisure and on your schedule.
